Self Project was established in 2019 by Angel Symone. Shortly after filing for divorce, she realized that she did not have an identity outside of being a mom and a wife. Instead of letting the transition put her into depression, she went on a journey of discovery. She began to dress better than she felt. She concentrated on the health of her body, her skin, her hair and her mental state. Inspired by unique styles and the latest beauty trends, she soon realized the importance of self-care in relationship to self confidence. Improving her physical appearance eventually transferred to her inner emotions. She slowly being to build herself into someone who she loved. She realized, she mattered too.

Shopping with us isn't just about getting a new outfit or getting your lashes done. We care about you. We see you as more than just someone's wife, or mother, daughter, sister, friend. You matter.  By encouraging women to prioritize their own needs and well-being, we aim to help embrace self-exploration, self-development, self-identify, and ultimately, self-love. Within our catchphrase "You matter too" we strive to create a supportive and empowering community for women.
